Longhouses at T’aalan Stl’aang, West Coast of Haida Gwaii
The Raven Rattle is a monumental sculpture of one of the key pieces of chiefly regalia for the Haida. Used in the chief’s dance along with a chilkat blanket, leggings, and head piece to let eagle down fly, this particular rattle indicates the holder’s office.
Along with Raven, the rattle also features Sluguu and Kingfisher on it’s back.
